💎 Origin:
Malachite forms in copper ore deposits, often associated with azurite. Excellent slabs come primarily from the Democratic Republic of Congo (Katanga region), but also from Russia, the USA (Arizona), Mexico, Namibia , and Zambia.

🌍 General origin:
As a copper carbonate mineral, malachite forms grape-shaped (botryoidal) or layered, banded aggregates. These are cut open and polished on both sides to reveal the characteristic play of colors from light to dark green.
